During the first quarter of 2018, information meetings between the administrative authorities, a delegation from ANAFOR and local populations took place in the localities of Bazzama , So’olala, Ngoumou, Bamenda and Foumban.

Within the framework of the missions entrusted by the Ministry of Forestry and Wildlife to ANAFOR, 230 422 hectares of state forests, including the Bazzama and So’o Lala Forest Reserves, respectively located in the eastern and Central regions , have been transferred to ANAFOR for management. ANAFOR, not presently having the necessary means for the implementation of developing operations is accompanied by other companies with proven expertise in subcontracting contacts according to given terms defined by the law. As a prelude to the logging of the said Reserves, the purpose of those meetings was to inform all the stakeholders about the activities relate to the recovery and the restoration that ANAFOR is undertaking.
